Candida albicans is a common species of fungus (yeast), that if allowed opportunistically to grow in the human body, has been linked to vaginal, skin, digestive and systemic health problems. Frequent antibiotic, steroid, and hormone use, high sugar intake and immune suppression are a few contributing factors to yeast overgrowth.
