HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE
Homeopathy is a medical system over 200 years old that utilizes microdoses of
substances from the plant, mineral or animal kingdom to stimulate a person's
natural healing response. The underlying principle in homeopathy is the "law
of similars". Basically, this law states that a substance that produces
a set of symptoms in a healthy person can cure the same set of symptoms when
given in a dilute and potentized dose. In a sense, this is the same principle
of allergy desensitization or immunization.
There are thousands of homeopathically prepared medicines that have been tested,
researched, and catalogued. Homeopathy is extremely safe and especially useful
in children's diseases and both acute and long-standing adult diseases. Virtually
any and all health conditions can benefit from homeopathic treatment. Homeopathic
medicines can be administered orally, topically, by suppository, by inhalation
and by injection.
Naturopathic physicians are the only licensed and regulated practitioners that
graduate with a core understanding and education in homeopathy.
